At Össur, we improve people’s mobility through advanced prosthetic technologies. Our Bionics Department is at the forefront of innovation, developing microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knees and ankles that empower users to move with confidence and ease. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our interdisciplinary R&D team and contribute to life-changing solutions.
As a Software Developer in the Bionics team, you will be part of a dynamic group of engineers, scientists, and clinicians working together to design and develop software solutions that interface with our prosthetic devices. You will be involved in the full development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, across multiple platforms.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development
Proficiency in C# and the Microsoft .NET application stack
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
Understanding of software development best practices and Agile methodologies
Experience with the following is an advantage:
Application development using XAML-based .NET frameworks
iOS development using Xcode, Objective-C, and Swift
Android development using Java or Kotlin
Medical device development or working within regulated environments

Hæfniskröfur:
Krafa:
BS gráða í tölvunarfræði, hugbúnaðarverkfræði eða skyldu námi
Að lágmarki 3 ára starfsreynsla í hugbúnaðarþróun
Góð þekking á C# og Microsoft .NET þróunarumhverfi
Samskiptahæfni og mjög góð enskukunnátta, bæði í rituðu og töluðu máli
Góður skilningur á vinnubrögðum í hugbúnaðarþróun og Agile-aðferðafræði
Reynsla af eftirfarandi er kostur:
Hugbúnaðarþróun með XAML og .NET þróunarumhverfi
iOS þróun með Xcode, Objective-C og Swift
Android þróun með Java eða Kotlin
Reynsla af þróun lækningatækja eða af starfi innan reglubundins vinnuumhverfis
