Salary: $17 - $19
Role Description:
Warehouse Associates are responsible for sorting, stocking, storing, and pulling automotive parts and products of various sizes and weights.
Help clean and maintain a safe warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate alphanumeric sequencing of all warehouse inventory.
Maintain correct box orientation per handling and labeling standards.
Ensure labels are visible, aligned and in proper order throughout all warehouse areas.
Responsible for the proper operation of the companys forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Keeps work/staging areas clean and orderly.
Follow directives issued by owner, managers and supervisors.
Assists and stocks/posts incoming orders and reports to Warehouse Supervisor upon completion.
Participates in year-end and monthly cycle count inventory and completes inventory usage reports as needed.
Returns cores in a cadenced, timely manner and reports to Warehouse Supervisor upon completion.
Follow safe lifting practices.
Ability to prioritize and complete required tasks efficiently.
Help pulling parts for customer orders accurately based on part numbers.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with other warehouse employees of the organization.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational/Experience Requirements
Completion of HS Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
Must have reliable transportation and be punctual.
Knowledge of parts and equipment related to parts inventory preferred.
Proficiency in basic math, data entry, attentiveness to detail, and organizational skills related to inventory work procedures.
Previous experience in clerical inventory and stockroom assignments preferred.
Ability to be on feet for the majority of working hours
Reach overhead, below waist, climb stairs and ladders.
Able to work in cold and hot warehouse temperatures based on the season
Honesty & courtesy are required for the job
Ability to multitask.
