Executive Chef / Sous Chef
We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef or Sous Chef to lead and inspire our kitchen in a high-end, classic 1950s–60s diner focused on clean, quality ingredients and elevated comfort food. This role is ideal for a chef who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, and takes pride in fresh, homemade preparation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily kitchen operations in a busy commercial kitchen environment
• Prepare and oversee fresh, homemade food using high-quality, clean ingredients
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and execution
• Establish, enforce, and uphold sanitation, food safety, and health standards in full compliance with Wisconsin state regulations
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness at all times
• Lead by example with strong multitasking and time management skills
• Train, guide, and motivate kitchen staff to perform at a high level
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workflow
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Leader
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a commercial kitchen
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health compliance (Wisconsin)
• Passion for food and pride in craftsmanship
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Detail-oriented with high standards for cleanliness and quality
