Get started on an exciting career by joining the Lancaster County EMS Boot Camp. You will receive training to become a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and gain valuable experience in the field while getting paid! The course is approximately 12 weeks in length, and uses a combination of classroom, self-study, skills labs and direct observation on an ambulance.

Possess a High School Diploma or GED

Clean background and driving record

Ability to pass a drug screen

Must pass placement test

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are crucial healthcare professionals who provide immediate care to patients during emergency situations. EMTs often work in high-pressure and unpredictable environments.

Examples of Duties

Assessing patient conditions and providing immediate care

Transporting patients to the hospital while monitoring their condition and providing necessary care

Documenting information and care provided

Maintaining and restocking medical equipment, supplies, cleaning and sanitizing
