Job Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage daily operations of Western Lowbeds, a specialized & superload transportation company.

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with various teams, including logistics, fleet management, and drivers, to optimize transportation processes.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure quality services at competitive rates.

Lead and mentor a team of operational staff to drive productivity and achieve company goals.

Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to maintain a secure working environment.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline communication and enhance overall operations.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.

Proven experience in operations management within the transportation industry.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with stakeholders.

Proficiency in analyzing data and making strategic decisions based on insights.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing transportation operations.

Desired Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role overseeing operational functions.

Experience in optimizing logistics processes and driving operational efficiency.

Previous exposure to specialized transportation, superload handling, or heavy haul services.

Familiarity with route planning permit requirements, and load securement for oversized cargo.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary range for the Operations Manager position at Western Lowbeds is between $110,000 to $125,000 per year, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
