Position: Packaging Engineer/Consultant

Job Type: Contract (6-12 months, possibility of extension)

Job Description:

Conduct Factory Trials:

Expertise to proactively identify potential risks and provide guidance on how to mitigate them

Coordinate suppliers for trial readiness ie. quantity needed for each trial and communication to the proposed supplier for when the supplies need to arrive to factories

Analyze performance during the trials and if needed, providing guidance on areas of improvement

Required Areas of Expertise:

Performance testing & qualification of different packaging formats in lab and in a factory setting.

Strong understanding of packaging test methods and qualification requirements for different pack formats like: corrugates, flexibles, shrink labels, paper cartons, rigid plastics, glass jars, decorations, metal closures, and tubes.

Experience writing robust technical specifications

Ability to identify risks and create mitigation plans

Strong communication and documentation skills

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate or Engineering in Packaging or related field.

• Experience in Packaging R&D for CPG, Food & Beverage or related industries

• Good communication skills both oral and written
