Job Title: Data Analyst – Finance

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada (Hybrid – 2 or 3 days onsite per week)

Duration: 6-12+ Months

Pay Daily Rate: $Market/Day CAD all inclusive

Job Description:

We are seeking an Data Analyst with a strong foundation in finance and quantitative skills to support data migration, data loading, and reconciliation projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within financial markets or investment management. This role requires hands-on experience working with large datasets, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in both analytical tools and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data loading, migration, and reconciliation across systems.

• Manipulate and validate large volumes of financial data for accuracy and consistency.

• Support investment management and financial market data processes.

• Build, enhance, and maintain Excel-based tools (including Macros, VBA, Pivot Tables).

• Leverage Python and R for data analysis, modeling, and automation.

• Collaborate with internal teams using tools like Google Suite, Notion, and Slack.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantitative field or Finance.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in financial markets, investment management, or related fields.

• Strong expertise with Microsoft Excel (Macros, VBA, Pivot Tables).

• Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis.

• Solid experience with SQL for querying and managing datasets.

• Experience in data migration, data loading, and reconciliation.

• Knowledge of collaboration platforms: Google Suite, Notion, Slack.
