Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrable expertise in navigating both California and Connecticut EHS regulatory frameworks.
California-Specific Knowledge: Proven experience managing a Cal/OSHA IIPP and ensuring compliance with Proposition 65 in a manufacturing setting.
Connecticut-Specific Knowledge: Proven experience managing compliance with Federal OSHA and CT DEEP regulations (air, water, waste).
Strong understanding of core manufacturing safety programs: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Hazard Communication (HazCom), Ergonomics, and Process Safety Management (PSM), if applicable.
Experience leading incident investigations (Root Cause Analysis) and implementing CAPAs.
Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
Ability to travel between California and Connecticut facilities as required up to 50%.
Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification (e.g., CSP - Certified Safety Professional, CIH - Certified Industrial Hygienist, CHMM - Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).
Experience with EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001/45001).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
