What you will do:
Conduct online research and work with standard software tools like Microsoft Office and PDF platforms, using CAD software where applicable
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, contractors, engineers, and internal teams to support project goals
Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to guide project planning and execution
Identify mechanical equipment and electrical systems relevant to each project and apply hands-on knowledge
Troubleshoot issues, resolve discrepancies, and offer practical solutions to ensure smooth progress
Produce accurate reports and contribute to strategic planning with sharp attention to detail
What you will need to be successful:
Ability to work independently in a remote or office-based environment, away from job sites
Adaptability to diverse personalities, shifting priorities, and changing project conditions
Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities
Proficiency with general computer programs; CAD software and programming knowledge are a plus
Experience reviewing plans and specifications to support accurate estimating
Foundation in estimating, budgeting, and quoting for electrical or mechanical projects
Background in water/wastewater controls, including PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and troubleshooting (preferred)
Education or experience in estimating, inside sales, electrical systems, project management, or construction processes, supported by relevant trade school, associate, or bachelor's degrees
