Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Part-Time Full-Time Weekdays Weekends
Schedule: 2nd shifts (2pm-10pm, 3pm-11pm, 4pm-12am)
Pay Rate: $15.00+ per hour
About the Role:
We are looking for committed and professional Unarmed Security Officers to join the security team. In this role, you will continue to ensure the safety and security of our residents, guests, and property, with a strong emphasis on customer service and proactive security measures.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Security Systems: Oversee all entry/exit points, CCTV surveillance, and alarm systems to ensure only authorized individuals access the building.
Conduct Regular Patrols: Perform periodic walkthroughs of the complex, including common areas, parking lots, and outdoor spaces.
Incident Response: Respond to alarms and emergencies swiftly, providing immediate support and escalating issues as needed.
Enforce Rules: Uphold property rules and regulations, ensuring a safe environment
Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact addressing any security concerns and providing assistance when necessary.
Reporting & Documentation: Record incidents, unusual activity, and maintenance issues, providing detailed reports for review by management.
Emergency Procedures: Assist in the coordination of emergency evacuations and safety measures when necessary.
Collaboration: Work closely with management, other team members, and local law enforcement to enhance overall security and safety.
Qualifications:
Previous Security Experience: Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally and to document incidents accurately.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify security risks and respond quickly and effectively.
Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain composed and take decisive action in emergencies.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with security systems, CCTV, and access control systems is an asset.
Valid License: Must have or be able to obtain the OH guard card any necessary security certifications or licenses.
Background Check: Successful completion of a background check.
