Job Description: SAP GTS Functional Consultant

Job Type: Remote and any US locations (Eastern time zone work hours)

An SAP ECC GTS (Global Trade Services) job involves configuring and managing SAP's GTS module to ensure companies comply with international trade laws, automating import/export processes, managing licenses, screening for embargoes, handling customs classifications (tariffs), and optimizing trade documentation, integrating with ECC (ERP Central Component) for seamless logistics and finance. Key tasks include implementing Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Preference Management modules, translating business needs into technical solutions, and supporting end-to-end trade workflows.

Core Responsibilities:

Compliance Management:

Execute embargo checks, screen against Restricted Party Lists (SPL), manage licenses, and perform legal controls.

Customs Management:

Handle import/export processes, determine tariff codes (HTS), manage customs declarations, and support special procedures (e.g., bonded warehousing).

Trade Preference Management:

Determine the origin of goods to leverage preferential trade agreements.

Integration & Configuration:

Set up and maintain links between SAP GTS, ECC (SD/MM), and external systems like customs authorities.
