Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate - Material Handler / Inventory Specialist supports field technicians by preparing, transporting, and managing materials and equipment used on job sites. This role is responsible for warehouse operations, forklift operation, inventory control, and scheduled deliveries to technicians in the field using company vehicles. The position requires the ability to work independently, stay organized, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Material Handling
Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and equipment
Pick, stage, and prepare materials for scheduled jobs
Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Assist with shipping and receiving as needed
Inventory Management
Track and manage inventory for warehouse stock and technician service trucks
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories
Monitor material usage and report shortages or discrepancies
Help ensure technicians have the correct materials for scheduled jobs
Field Deliveries & Support
Deliver materials to job sites and technicians in the field using a company pickup truck
Transport equipment such as water heaters, sinks, toilets, furnaces, and AC units
Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and technicians for timely deliveries
Ensure materials are delivered safely and securely
Equipment Operation
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain basic care of warehouse equipment and delivery vehicles
Qualifications & Requirements
Prior warehouse, material handling, or inventory experience preferred
Forklift experience required (certification preferred or ability to obtain)
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 75 lbs with assistance as needed)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
