SAP Master Data Functional Role

The Functional Analyst, Master Data (including but not restricted to Customer Master, Vendor Master, and Material Master) is responsible for the development, management, coordination, and maintenance of SAP master data, practices, procedures, reporting, analysis, and execution. FA must understand the overall operational aspects of the business to help troubleshoot issues resulting from master data. Coordinates and collaborates with all functional areas regarding customer master data to ensure the compliance and effective processing of master data.

Requirements

12 years of experience in SAP MM/SD implementations, minimum 5-6 years in dealing with Sap Master data

Should be able to work with Business users independently to gather the requirements

Should have experience in the data conversions and data migration projects involving large volume of master data

Should be a team player and can work under tight timelines

Should be able to work with technical teams and ensure the smooth delivery of development objects

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of SAP master data elements, processes, and configuration

Leads and performs data analysis, data cleansing through review process.

Knowledge on the ETL too such as BODS functionality, Master Data Governance (SAP MDG) processes and Data migration Tools

Monitoring Data Extracts, Data Loads, analyzes data errors and resolves root causes.

Ability to write Functional and Tech Specifications, Test Scripts,execute the test cycles

Working Knowledge on BADI, BAPIs, Message Types, Idocs, Troubleshooting Idoc errors etc all

Should have excellent oral and written communication skills

Functional knowledge on the Procure to Pay, Order to Cash process and Accounts Payables and the various touch points of master data attributes in the PTP & OTC cycle.

Exposure to Data integration and data replication process between SAP Systems (ECC, CRM, GTS etc ) and SAP to Non-SAP and vice-a-versa.
