Healthy Kids Programs is on the lookout for a dynamic Director to lead our After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year. As the Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site.
JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Fletcher Elementary School in Cambridge, VT
PAY: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
HOURS: 3:00 - 6:00 pm
JOB CONSISTS OF:
Guiding Compliance: Ensure that all staff and the program follow state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and the guidelines established by our host school.
Bringing the Fun: Lead engaging, hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. And of course, support homework completion—you’ll be our go-to homework hero!
Managing Like a Boss: Oversee key management responsibilities such as keeping accurate attendance and registration records and maintaining appropriate staffing levels to ensure smooth program operations.
Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Maintain clear and open communication with parents and families through the Playground App.
Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly and regularly with your direct report so they stay informed of daily activities, and any concerns are addressed quickly. By working together as one team, we will provide the highest quality care, foster a positive work environment, and proactively handle any challenges that arise.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
To be qualified as a director, you shall meet or exceed the following qualifications:
Be at least eighteen years of age, possess a BA, BS or Associates degree, have one of the following:
At least ten months direct work experience with school age children OR
Vermont On-the-Job Training certificate OR
Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential OR
Vermont Program Director Credential OR
Vermont Teacher Licensure OR
Master’s Degree in a youth- related field

You're ready to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and basically do whatever it takes to keep up with energetic kiddos!
