Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) Role Overview:

A Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) is a highly technical, customer-facing engineer who works directly with end users to solve complex, real-world problems through software. FDSEs combine strong engineering skills with product thinking, data fluency, and the ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where solutions are deployed directly into production. Key Responsibilities:

Partner closely with customers to understand mission-critical problems and translate them into technical solutions

Design, build, and deploy end-to-end software solutions tailored to real operational needs

Develop full-stack features, data pipelines, integrations, and workflows

Rapidly iterate on solutions based on direct user feedback

Own solutions from initial prototype through production deployment and ongoing improvement

Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to improve platform capabilities Required Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of experience with strong computer science or software engineering background

Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production systems

Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript)

Comfort working with data, APIs, and complex systems

Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and take ownership of outcomes

Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with non-technical stakeholders
