Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Platform Operations Engineer (Apigee) to support and enhance enterprise API management and microservices platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Apigee, backend development, and cloud-based integrations, and will play a key role in supporting scalable, high-performance API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, and support APIs using Apigee Edge / Apigee X

Implement and manage API proxies, policies, and security configurations

Develop backend services using Java or Python

Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for API and microservices deployment

Perform message transformation using JSON and XML

Support and optimize microservices-based architectures

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability and performance

Troubleshoot, monitor, and enhance API and platform operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

8–10 years of overall IT experience

Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Edge (Apigee X preferred)

Backend development experience using Java or Python

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services

Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, and message transformation

Solid understanding of API management and microservices architecture

Preferred Skills

Experience with Kubernetes and GKE

Exposure to modern DevOps and platform operations practices

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (BE / ME)
