Security Guard - FT - Innisfil

We are seeking a dependable and highly self-motivated Security Guard to protect an abandoned, restricted-access site consisting of multiple buildings and surrounding grounds, minutes from Barrie. This position requires the ability to work independently, conduct routine patrols, and prevent unauthorized access to secured property.

The ideal candidate is alert, disciplined, and comfortable working alone in a low-occupancy, high-responsibility environment.

Schedule: Rotational schedule - 14:00 - 02:00, including alternate weekends

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $18.35/hour

Work Environment

Isolated setting with limited public presence

Multiple structures and outdoor patrol areas

Independent decision-making required

Responsibilities for Security Guard in Innisfil

Conduct scheduled and random foot patrols across multiple buildings and exterior areas

Monitor for trespassing, vandalism, theft, or other unauthorized activity

Enforce no-trespassing policies and secure restricted areas

Perform building checks, perimeter inspections, and access point verification

Identify and report safety hazards, structural issues, or suspicious activity

Respond appropriately to alarms or disturbances

Maintain accurate patrol logs and incident reports

Communicate with supervisors or law enforcement as required

Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Security Guard

Be authorized to work in Canada

Hold a valid security license

First aid certification required

Strong report writing skills

Ability to work alone with minimal supervision

Reliable transportation to a remote or limited-access site

Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor

Strong proficiency with technology

Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
