Reports To: Kitchen Manager

Position Summary

The Kitchen Steward role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. Youll be the unsung hero who ensures every plate, glass, and utensil is spotless and ready to shine. This is a crucial behind-the-scenes role that helps us deliver a great experience to every guest. We're a fast-growing company with opportunities to grow for those who show dedication and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

Operate dishwashing machines and hand-wash delicate items

Scrape, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, cookware, and utensils

Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, kitchen floors, trash bins, and prep stations (sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, etc.)

Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and chemicals

Assist with basic food prep or restocking when needed

Assist with unloading and putting away deliveries, following FIFO and safe food storage practices

Follow health and safety standards to ensure a hygienic environment

Communicate equipment issues promptly to the Kitchen Manager

Support the team during high-volume service with speed and accuracy

Willingness to jump in and assist with general cleaning tasks as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred but not required

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Positive attitude and team-first mentality

Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and seasonal programming

Willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry

Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move throughout shifts

Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time

Ability to lift 50 poundsAdded Skills

Reliable, energetic, and ready to jump-in wherever needed

A team player who knows that every role matters

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
