Job Description

We are seeking a Construction laborers, unskilled and skilled individuals to become an integral part of our team! We have several projects in the Laredo and surrounding areas and are need of knowledgeable persons. Training is available for the right persons that does not have prior experience. Experience is compensated at competitive rates. Public Utility installation along roadways experience is helpful. Carpentry skills, plumbing skills and light electrical skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Drive and operate commercial vehicle and combination vehicles/trailers to jobsites.

Assist in installation of roadway electrical and traffic signal systems

Perform work with minimum supervision

Dedication to do the work right the first time

Able to take direction on daily duties

Able t work out of town on short term projects under 2 months

Able to think on your own when circumstances require

Installation of conduit, ground boxes, cable, concrete work and foundations.

Operation of various types of construction equipment is helpful.

Working around traffic and heavy equipment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in roadway lighting and or traffic signals preferred but not necessary

Familiarity with roadway electrical installation or willing to learn

Current drivers license, class A with combination endorsement.

Experience with driving light to medium sized construction vehicles with trailers

Good transportation to jobsite

Ability to work as a team

Our technicians and electricians are train in all standard areas and specialize with fiber optic systems, ATM, Changeable Message Signs (CMS), Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) ramp meters, CCTV, Video Image Vehicle Detection Systems (VIVDS), inductive loop vehicle detection, vehicle radar detections, traffic signal maintenance, roadway lighting, large roadway signs and various other specialty items.
