Job Title: Teller

Location: Coal City, IL

Department: Retail

Reports to: Branch Manager

Average hours per week: Hourly 35+

Required Hours Availability: M-TH 8AM – 5PM, Fri 8AM - 5:30PM, Saturdays 8-12

Hourly range: $15-$17

Job Summary:

The Teller role provides outstanding customer service to develop new customer relationships, maintain our current customer relationships and ensure that Bank of Pontiac meets the financial needs of our customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform Teller transactions daily, paying specific attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency. Teller transactions include but are not limited to cash deposits and withdrawals, check cashing, money orders and accounts transfers.

Handle cash transactions with accuracy.

Engage with customers to determine needs.

Maintain positive communications with customers and non-customers to develop new business and enhance relationships with existing customers.

Promote Bank of Pontiac products and services

Adhere to bank policies and procedures.

Demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions based on Bank policies, knowledge, and experience.

Verify that all polices, and procedures are followed, and that the risk of fraud is minimized.

Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

1 + years of banking experience is preferred but not required, we will train the otherwise qualified candidate.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly: Standing, Talking, Hearing, Feeling/Touching, Vision – close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus

Frequently: Walking

Occasionally: Sitting, climbing and/or crawling, Lifting objects up to 30 pounds
