This position is for local residents only.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Custom s documentation and ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import of goods.
Determine and track duties and taxes payable.
Process payments on behalf of clients.
Prepare and process import documentation according to Customs regulations, laws, or procedures.
Process Customs Entry by completing the appropriate mandated procedures to clear goods through U.S. Customs and designated OGA s to obtain release of client s product.
Calculate duty and tariff payments owed on shipments.
Pay, or arrange for payment of taxes and duties on shipments.
Request or compile necessary import documentation, such as Customs Invoices, Certificates of Origin and cargo-control documents.
Post bonds (SEB / Continuous) for the products being imported or assist clients in obtaining bonds
Help classify goods according to tariff coding system and assist customers in obtaining accurate US HTS codes.
Apply for tariff concessions and or entry cancelations
Knowledge of HTS and steel/reciprocal tariffs
Customer invoicing for Brokerage related activities.
Maintain customer records and filing.
