In this vital role, your primary responsibilities will include:

Enforcing customs, immigration, and agricultural laws and regulations.

Facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.

Conducting thorough inspections of individuals and vehicles.

Determining the admissibility of individuals entry into the United States.

Preventing the illegal entry of individuals and smuggling of contraband.

Locations: Choose from our mission-critical locations across the United States. You may be eligible for location incentives that can significantly increase your annual salary. If your preferred location is not available at the time of your final offer, you may be assigned another location across the country.

Salary and Benefits: Newly appointed CEOs earn an annual base salary ranging from GS-9: $61,111 - $124,443, with opportunities for additional overtime pay of up to $45,000. You'll also enjoy a wide array of federal employment benefits, including health and dental insurance, generous leave, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan.

Location-specific incentives may be offered, such as 15%-25% of your salary for your first three years, depending on your duty station.

Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.

Must apply before your 40th birthday (some exceptions apply).

Eligible veterans may qualify for excepted service appointment.

Training: You will receive comprehensive training, including a two-week orientation and a 101-day academy at FLETC in Glynco, GA. Spanish training may be mandatory for specific locations.
