Container Farm Operator / Hydroponic Grower/ Farm Hand

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Container Farm Operator to run a fully customized hydroponic smart container farm. This is a modern, controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) system equipped with automated nutrient dosing, climate control, LED grow lighting, CO2 integration, sensors, cameras, and remote IoT monitoring.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on plant care, precision systems, and producing high-quality leafy greens and herbs consistently. This is a 1099 position.

What You’ll Be Operating

Customized hydroponic container farm

Automated fertilizer dispensing & water circulation

Integrated IoT system (temperature, humidity, lighting schedules, CO2, ventilation)

Wi-Fi remote monitoring & control

Sensors, data logging, and camera systems

Secure access with combination-lock entry

Key Responsibilities

Daily plant care: seeding, transplanting, pruning, harvesting

Monitor and adjust EC / pH / nutrient levels

Manage temperature, humidity, airflow, and lighting schedules

Identify and prevent pests or plant stress early

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation between crop cycles

Harvest, package, and prepare produce for delivery or sale

Log yields, crop cycles, and system performance

Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance of systems

Ideal Candidate

Experience with hydroponics, vertical farming, greenhouse growing, or CEA

Comfortable working with automated systems and basic tech interfaces

Organized, consistent, and dependable

Able to follow SOPs and maintain quality standards

Physically able to stand, lift light trays, and work in a container environment

A plus but not required

Experience with leafy greens, herbs, or microgreens

Familiarity with IoT dashboards or environmental controls

Prior container farm or vertical farm experience

Harvest and planting days will require additional time
