The Receiving Lead is responsible for executing daily receiving operations and monitoring the performance of a small team of associates within an assigned work area. This role supports day-to-day workflow, training, and productivity in a fast-paced, multi-temperature warehouse environment while ensuring safety, quality, and operational standards are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate daily workflow, training, and troubleshooting activities within a multi-temperature environment, including areas at or below freezing
Utilize WMS and other reporting tools to track productivity, accuracy, and output to ensure departmental goals and deadlines are met
Provide timely, constructive performance feedback to associates through one-on-one or group coaching
Conduct department start-up meetings as needed to communicate priorities, expectations, and updates
Assist with documenting process improvements, standard operating procedures, and training plans
Foster a respectful and inclusive team environment that supports engagement, motivation, and retention
Perform hands-on production work and manual labor on the floor during non-peak periods, as required
Ensure adherence to all safety, security, food safety (SQF), and company policies
Support operations in other departments and perform additional duties as assigned
Maintain consistent, reliable attendance Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS); SAP experience preferred
Proven ability to communicate effectively with associates, peers, and leadership
Ability to work in a multi-temperature warehouse environment, including freezer conditions
Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, lifting, and manual labor for extended periods
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate hourly associates
Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime as business needs require
