Job Title: Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Join a collaborative anesthesia team at a respected Michigan hospital providing care across a full patient demographic from pediatrics to geriatrics. This is a supervised CRNA role with a strong focus on general surgical cases and opportunities to engage in neurosurgical procedures and spinal anesthesia. Job Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures for both adult and pediatric patients
Provide anesthesia care for neurosurgical cases, ensuring proper management of neurological status pre- and post-procedure
Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia as required by surgical procedures
Manage ventilation and monitor respiratory status throughout the surgical process
Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision in a collaborative environment with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
Maintain continuous patient monitoring throughout the perioperative phase (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op)
Utilize Epic EMR for all documentation and anesthesia records
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedural protocols, and safety standards
Work four (4) 10-hour shifts per week
No on-call duties required (strictly scheduled shifts)
Operate within a hospital-based setting designated as a Level II Trauma Center
Contribute to a daily volume of approximately 50 surgical cases
Work alongside a team in multiple operating rooms, with rotating assignments based on need
Respond to emergencies and provide airway management, including intubation if needed Qualifications:
Board Certified CRNA - REQUIRED
Active MI license - REQUIRED
Clean Background - REQUIRED
Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month) - REQUIRED, required at the time of presentation.
ACLS & BLS through AHA - REQUIRED
PALS - REQUIRED
Must have 1 year CRNA experience - REQUIRED
No job gaps - REQUIRED
$275 rate cap - REQUIRED
Prefer full-time providers but will consider part-time - HIGHLY PREFERRED License and Certification Requirements:
Board Certified CRNA
Active Michigan License
ACLS and BLS certification through AHA
PALS certification
