JOB TITLE: SYSTEMS/SQL REPORTING ANALYST
DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Information Technology, the Systems/SQL Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality reports, dashboards, and database tools that ensure accurate, accessible, and actionable data for leadership, clinical teams, and operational staff. Duties include but not limited to: developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL queries, Meditech Expanse Reporting Tools, to support reporting needs; building and automating recurring reports for leadership, clinical, billing, and administrative teams; creating visual dashboards and data models to support operational and strategic decision-making; performing data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability; translating complex datasets into clear reports for various stakeholders; analyzes problems and brings them to resolution; serves as primary liaison between Information Technology, system owners and the application vendors.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Establishes strong communication relationships with all application system owners inside GAHHS.
2. Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, and scripts to support reporting needs.
3. Develop and maintain reports using Meditech Expanse MaaS reporting tools.
4. Build and automate recurring reports for leadership, clinical, billing, and administrative teams.
5. Create visual dashboards and data models to support operational and strategic decision-making.
6. Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
7. Translate complex datasets into clear reports for various stakeholders
8. Collaborate with IT and external partners to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.
9. Provide training and support to staff on how to interpret and use reports and dashboards.
10. Work closely with billing, clinical, operations, and leadership teams to understand data needs and develop reporting solutions.
11. Ensure reporting and data processes comply with federal, state, and payer requirements, including behavioral health reporting standards.
12. Support audits and compliance reviews by extracting required data and preparing accurate reports.
13. Stay current with SQL best practices, reporting technologies, and data governance standards.
14. Recommend enhancements to data systems, reporting processes, and automation opportunities.
15. Participate in organization-wide data initiatives to support long-term growth and scalability.
16. Communicate changes effectively with the report requesters.
17. Maintains weekly report(s) for previous week's accomplishments, current open issues and the upcoming weeks scheduled tasks to Executive Director of IT.
18. Develops, creates and manages vendor based and third party acquired reporting systems for generating meaningful report output from applications used by GAHHS. Educates staff on the utilization of these tools as required.
19. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Information Technology.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Work requires the ability to lift and carry boxes.

• 14" to waist - 40 pounds
• Waist to shoulder - 30 pounds
• Shoulder to overhead - 10 pounds

2. Work requires ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. (2-3 hours)
3. Work requires communication abilities necessary to gather and exchange information with customers on a daily basis.
4. Excellent telephone and public relations skill required, often in pressure situations.
5. Visual acuity to proofread and check typed and handwritten documents for accuracy daily.
6. Ability to use a computer both to entry and retrieve data.
7. Auditory acuity to communicate with customers effectively.
8. Ability to function professionally in stressful, space-limited and changing conditions.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports directly to the Executive Director of Information Technology.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience with SQL development, data analytics, and reporting.
3. Proficiency in Meditech Expanse MaaS reporting tools and techniques.
4. Proficiency in SQL writing complex queries, joins, CTEs.
5. Experience with data visualization tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
9. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
10. Experience with healthcare and/or revenue cycle data preferred but not required.
11. Willingness to continually learn.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Works in an office with other people. Personal space is limited.
2. Time constraints are a source of pressure due to sensitivity of data.
3. The department is otherwise free from physical injury when proper safety guidelines are maintained.
