POSITION Long Term Classroom Assistant

LOCATION Holland, Ohio

PAY RATE Starting at $15.00 Per Hour

Dedicated School Staffing proudly services Springfield Local Schools for their long-term substitute classified employees. We are currently recruiting for a long-term classroom assistant. Previous work experience with school aged children is preferred.

Qualifications

Clean criminal background.

High school diploma or GED equivalent. A Bachelor's or Associates Degree (in any field of study) is preferred. (*Applicants that do not have a Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree will be required to pass a paraprofessional test.)

Three (3) positive professional references.

Experience working with school aged children.

After Hire (Contingent)

Able to obtain an Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide Permit ($25), or higher license

FBI & BCI Background checks dated within 12 months (Cost varies per agency)

Responsibilities

Presents subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of the teacher.

Ensures that students are never left unattended in the classroom.

Keeps students safe and engaged.

Exhibits proper classroom management techniques.

Understands building and classroom policy and procedures.

Documents lesson plans.

Maintains student records/performance.

Follows the Individualized Education Program (IEP) of the student.

Details

Days: Monday - Friday, following the school calendar

Duration: date of hire - end of the school year

Various grade level positions available (preschool, elementary, high school)

Enrollment in School Employees Retirement System (SERS)
