Creative Director – Volunteer Role

Term: 2-Year Term • Voting Position

The Creative Director leads the visual identity and creative vision for Pride St. Charles. This role ensures that all branding, graphics, and design elements across the organization are cohesive, inclusive, and aligned with our mission: Building Bridges, Building Community.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Social Media Coordinator (who will handle posting and day-to-day management of social channels), ensuring all campaigns and visuals reflect a unified look and feel.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the overall creative direction and branding for Pride St. Charles

Design or approve graphics for events, social media, sponsorship materials, flyers, signage, and merchandise

Partner with the Social Media Coordinator to establish templates, brand guidelines, and visual consistency

Work with the Marketing, Sponsorship, Development, and Festival teams to fulfill creative needs

Provide artistic guidance and ensure materials stay on brand and meet deadlines

Maintain and organize brand assets, logos, and design files

Support creative brainstorms and help bring new ideas to life

Oversee any volunteer designers assisting with graphics or branding

Ideal Skills & Experience

Experience in graphic design, branding, or creative leadership (Canva, Adobe Express, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)

Strong eye for color, typography, layout, and accessible design

Collaborative and able to bring others’ ideas into a unified creative vision

Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently during high-volume months

Strong communication and willingness to work closely with multiple committees

Time Commitment

January–June: 15–20 hours/month (peak season)

July–December: 10–15 hours/month (lighter season)

Must sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) and a Code of Conduct
