The opportunity

Delaware North Sportservice is searching for part-time Catering Attendants to join our team at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio . As a Catering Attendant you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that guests' needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will be friendly, positive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

What will you do?

Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order

Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner

Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes

Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.

Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints

Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)

Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members

Breaks down event according to company procedures More about you

Must be 18 or older

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment

Excellent guest service skills

Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly

No high school diploma or GED required Physical requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift

Exposure to variable temperatures

May be required to work in narrow spaces
