The facility features a 16-bed psychiatric department with comprehensive mental health services and operates as a Level 3 trauma center, providing essential care to the surrounding communities.

Job Details:

• Schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off or 14 days on, 14 days off

• Manage approximately 12 patient encounters per shift

• Work in both acute psychiatric unit/institute and long-term psychiatric facility settings

• Treat various mental health conditions including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders

• Must be comfortable with involuntary commitments and restraint application when necessary

• Provide comprehensive treatment including pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy

• Must maintain active Alaska medical license - will only consider Alaska licensed providers at this time

• BLS certification required

• Estimated credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days

• Position start date: October 27, 2025 with ongoing assignment opportunities
