Job Title: Field Engineer Location: Milwaukee, WI Duration: 24+ Months (2-Year+ Contract) Pay Rate: $23/hr.
(Higher rate may be considered based on experience) Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week) potential overtime.
Travel Requirement: Up to 25% (Must have own vehicle; mileage reimbursement) Position Summary: We are seeking a Field Engineer to support the client customer data centers by resolving hardware and infrastructure issues.
This role requires hands-on experience with enterprise-level systems and a strong understanding of data center operations.
Key Responsibilities: * Troubleshoot and resolve issues across IT infrastructure including client and multi-vendor enterprise systems, servers, storage, and networking.
* Perform rack and stack, hardware installations, disk drive and memory replacements, and hot swaps.
* Utilize software tools for daily operations and troubleshooting in a data center environment.
* Provide client-facing support with professionalism and technical expertise.
* Collaborate with team members during a 45-90 day training period; you will not be expected to work solo during this time.
Qualifications: * Must be a U.S.
Citizen with a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a mailing address.
* 2-3 years of hands-on experience with servers, cables, racks, workstations, routers/switches, and network infrastructure.
* Experience in data center environments is highly preferred.
* Strong client-facing communication skills.
* CompTIA+ certification is a plus.
