Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials while ensuring efficiency and safety in warehouse operations. In addition to forklift duties, this position requires strong organizational skills and basic computer proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Load and unload trucks, pallets, and shipments while maintaining proper documentation.

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.

Prepare and process shipping labels, bills of lading, and other related paperwork.

Use computer software to track shipments, input data, and generate reports as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid forklift certification/license (or willingness to obtain one).

Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.

Familiarity with shipping procedures, inventory control, and warehouse management systems.

Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory tracking software.

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
