Visual Arts Work Study

Responsibilities

This position will help promote the creative excellence of the Department of Visual Arts. You would be responsible for developing a posting schedule,attending and documenting department events, developing unique and creative ideas for content, collaborating with students and faculty on contentcreation, and regularly posting on our Instagram account.

Qualifications

Strong communication & organizational skills Comfortable interacting with students, faculty, and others Willingness to learn new skills Able to meetdeadlines with reasonable accommodations Able to attend on-campus events and collect photos; can collect photos from various contacts made vianetworking Good at multi-tasking Interest and basic understanding of photography capture and editing.

Characteristics Preferred:

Confident in interacting with students, faculty, and others Outgoing, creative, respectful of others, and collaborative Loves content creation and taking photos.

Preferred Qualifications:

A student studying in the Department of Visual Arts (Art History, Fine Art, or Graphic Design Majors) Basic video capturing and editing Basic understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Working indoors and occasionally outdoors; minimal lifting required.
