Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international cross commodity trading house looking for an experienced commodity trader to join their East African office.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Responsible for trading various products into EAC, including chemicals (LAB, SAP), plastics and fertilizer products (NPK, DAP, MAP, Urea)

Responsible for export of agricommodities, including edible nuts and food products

Trader will be overseeing business development of the EAC region and expanding regional connections with suppliers and customers

Responsible for market research and current S&D analysis

Role reports into the Regional Director

Key Qualifications / Experience

Between 5-10 years’ experience trading commodities in East African countries (Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, etc)

Experience in B2B trading in chemicals, fertilizer products and/or agricommodities

Excellent connections with regional traders, 3rd parties and local authorities

Fluency in local languages, such as Swahili, is highly valued

Based in Kenya (Happy to relocate)
