Picker Packer

Job Description

BESTAFF is hiring a Picker & Packer to support a warehouse accurately picking customer orders for Quality Leather Products, packing products safely and neatly, and preparing shipments for delivery. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Pay rate: $15 hourly

7A – 4:30P M-F – possibly 7-noon on Saturday’s

Key Responsibilities

Pick products from inventory using pick tickets, handheld scanner, or warehouse system

Detailed packaging of finished products

Repetitive tasks while packing specific kits/items, but kits/items change daily.

Verify correct items, quantities, and product condition before packing

Pack leather goods securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage

Label packages accurately and stage completed orders for shipment or pickup

Assist with receiving, stocking, and replenishment as needed

Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S/housekeeping standards)

Perform basic inventory tasks (cycle counts, location checks, reporting shortages/damages)

Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Required Qualifications

Ability to read and follow written instructions and order documents

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic math skills (counting, verifying quantities)

Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications

Previous picking/packing, warehouse, fulfillment, or shipping experience

Experience using barcode scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS)

Shipping knowledge (UPS/FedEx labels, packing standards) is a plus

Forklift or pallet jack experience (if applicable; can be trained)

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 5–40 lbs (adjust if your requirement differs)

Ability to stand/walk for extended periods

Manual dexterity to pack and handle products safely

Work Environment

Quality Leather Products. Exposure to packing materials, carts, pallets, and standard warehouse equipment.
