SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The PPAP Quality Coordinator works directly with the Quality Manager on all quality-related issues. This position is responsible for leading the Advanced Quality Planning Process, including development of PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Gage R&R Studies, and other related documentation for PPAP submittals. At times this position will lead teams in problem solving techniques for continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, customer complaints, corrective action, maintains KPI data, and other quality issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintains world class quality (customer PPM), drives 100% on time delivery, and ensures safety throughout department.
· Participates in reporting and achieving departmental KPIs.
· Supports ISO9001 and IATF16949 compliance and is an internal audit process owner.
· May assist in maintaining compliance for ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards and QMS.
Establishes and maintains departmental work instructions consistent with ISO/IATF standards and procedures.
Responsible for oversite of APQP and PPAP process through customer delivery as directed by the Quality Director.
Coordinates measurement system analysis activities including gage R&R's, MSA's, etc.
Reviews Supplier Quality, including Supplier Corrective Actions, Non-Conformances and PPAP activities.
Works with vendors to resolve product quality issues.
Assists the management team regarding dispositions of suspect / non-conforming product.
Makes recommendations on improvements to quality functions and processes.
Validates and signs off on process changes affecting product quality.
Maintains all quality related documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
Participates in new product development teams as a Quality representative.
Responsible for ensuring product meets drawing specifications and customer expectations.
Ensures customer requirements are known, communicated, and met.
Responsible for Layered Process Audit system.
Proficient in cost of quality metrics, analysis, etc.
May work on other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with automotive customers and/or knowledge of automotive quality tools (PPAP's, APQP, FMEA's, 8D Corrective Action process, etc.).
Lead Auditor certification for ISO9001/IATF16949 or qualified by internal training and/or experience required.
5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in plastic injection molding.
Previous experience with writing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and WI (Work Instructions) for all functions.
Strong process and quality improvement experience with knowledge of 6-Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, SPC and Process Control
Compensation details: 20-24 Hourly Wage
