TMB has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to provide support to a U.S. Navy program office.
Responsibilities
The Data Scientist will support data analytics activities for the NAVSEA Director for Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization, and Sustainment (SEA 21).
This role is focused on leveraging advanced analytics, data modeling, and visualization techniques to improve decision-making, optimize maintenance schedules, and enhance modernization planning for the U.S. Navy's surface fleet.
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment programs.
Develop predictive models and algorithms to forecast maintenance needs and resource requirements.
Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and IT teams to integrate data-driven solutions into operational workflows.
Ensure compliance with DoD data governance and cybersecurity standards. Qualifications
5 years professional experience.
Master's degree in math, science, engineering, or related field.
10 years of professional experience is acceptable instead of a degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Benefits
