Job Description

The CSP Sarepta facility is seeking a Sr Maintenance Electrical Technician for 3rd shift. This position is responsible for providing technical support in maintaining "State of the Art" electronic controls in the facility.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and electronic controls on all plant equipment. Assist in upgrading electrical equipment and electronic controls. Develop control wiring schematics/maintain files. PLC Programming. Review product improvement ideas and recommend action to implement them. Assist in determining spare parts requirements. Provide machine design (electrical) proposals. Maintain all electrical upgrades on software and in hard copy in an orderly manner. Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor. It is the responsibility of all maintenance personnel to provide a basic set of tools and tool holder or bag. These tools should be with the technician at all times when performing maintenance functions. The basic set of tools should include, at a minimum, the following:

Phillips screw drivers Flat head screw drivers Crescent wrench Set of metric Allen wrenches Set of SAE Allen wrenches Set of channel lock pliers Set of needle nose pliers Tape measure Diagonal cutting pliers Flashlight Small Knife

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

A.S. degree in electrical/electronics field or equivalent (3 years) in training and experience. Knowledge of basic machine design and setup. Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting. Good communication skills both written and verbal. Knowledge of PLCs and PLC programming.

Note: Some qualifications may be waived at the discretion of the Department Manager.

SCOPE AND IMPACT OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position plays a key role in troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing major equipment necessary for the production of high quality products for our customers. Ensures safe electrical operations within the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Excellent health and physical condition required. Jobs consist of repetitive motion with good range of motion involving bending, stooping, walking, reaching and prolonged standing. Physical requirement of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment required for particular jobs. Knowledge of chemicals specific to job-some exposure to fumes. Must be able to work in close proximity to high temperature molds (290 F-450 F). Good eye, hand and foot coordination. Must have valid driver license and forklift license.

MENTAL/VISUAL:

Communication - written/verbal skills, good computer skills. Ability to work in stressful situations. Good math and documentation skills. Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work on own without constant supervision and daily instructions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Will be required to work in plant - factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, glass fibers, fumes and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area. Maintenance personnel are also required to wear steel-toe foot wear.
