Job Description
Role Summary
This strategic role is based in Hong Kong and reports directly to the Managing Director. The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities for the Hong Kong entity and provide leadership to the China finance team, ensuring alignment with global standards and regional business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Hong Kong and China operations
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS, PRC GAAP, and local regulations
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across entities
Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor the China finance team, fostering collaboration and performance excellence
Align cross-border financial practices and reporting standards
Strategic Support
Partner with the Managing Director to deliver financial insights that drive business decisions
Support pricing strategies, cost control initiatives, and investment evaluations
Contribute to strategic planning and operational reviews
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure robust internal controls and audit readiness
Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
Stakeholder Engagement
Prepare executive-level financial presentations and reports
Collaborate with global finance counterparts to ensure consistency and transparency
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
Minimum 8 years of finance experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role
Strong command of PRC GAAP, IFRS, and Hong Kong financial regulations
Proven experience managing cross-border finance teams, especially in Mainland China
Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
