Position Summary

The Front Desk Clerk creates an exceptional guest experience by delivering warm, efficient, and professional service in alignment with AC Hotel and Marriott brand standards. This role is responsible for check-in/check-out procedures, handling guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and promoting Marriott Bonvoy enrollment to enhance guest loyalty.

What will you be doing most days?

Guest Service

Greet all guests promptly and warmly, ensuring a smooth and welcoming arrival experience.

Complete check-in and check-out procedures accurately using Marriott systems.

Provide detailed information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.

Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns quickly and professionally.

Maintain a polished, service-oriented atmosphere consistent with the AC brand.

Marriott Bonvoy Enrollment

Actively promote and enroll guests into the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.

Explain benefits clearly and confidently to drive enrollment and engagement.

Meet or exceed hotel expectations for daily and weekly Bonvoy sign-up goals.

Ensure accurate capture of guest data during enrollment.

Front Desk Operations

Answer phone calls courteously and efficiently following Marriott standards.

Manage room assignments, keys, requests, and billing with a high level of accuracy.

Process payments, secure deposits, and update guest folios as needed.

Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure timely room readiness and service recovery.

Maintain an organized, clean, and professional front desk environment.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all security, safety, and confidentiality procedures.

Uphold all company policies, including cash-handling, PCI compliance, and guest privacy.

Report any safety hazards or suspicious activity immediately.

What are the requirements for this position?

Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred; Marriott experience is a plus.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with computers; experience with Marriott PMS systems (e.g., FOSSE, MARSHA) is helpful.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Professional appearance and adherence to AC brand standards.

Assist guests in the check-in and check-out procedure, as well as, throughout the entirety of their stay

Work proficiently on the hotel's electronic reservation system, as well as, other computer programs to ensure a seamless workflow

Handle all financial matters - including credit card and cash transactions - securely, accurately, and with the utmost integrity

Anticipate guests' needs and go out of your way to maximize the guest experience

Work collectively with other team members to foster a hospitable, approachable, and customer-focused environment for our guests What are the requirements for this position?

Physical Requirements for this Position

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirements

This position would require little to no travel outside the property and surrounding area.

Pay Scale: $12.93 - $24.29/hour
