Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our advanced manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for taking complex medical component designs from concept to production. Using industry-leading CAM software, you will develop, test, and optimize programs for our fleet of precision machines, including, but not limited to, our Nakamura-Tome multi-tasking centers. This is a critical role that supports the launch of new surgical device components used in lifesaving minimally invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Create high-precision CNC programs from scratch using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit) based on 3D models and 2D blueprints.

Develop efficient manufacturing processes, including selecting appropriate tooling, work holding, and machining sequences for complex geometries.

Program and synchronize twin-spindle and multi-turret operations to maximize efficiency and maintain tight tolerances.

Lead the "First Article" process, working closely with the shop floor to prove out programs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure parts meet strict medical-grade specifications.

Optimize existing programs to reduce cycle times, improve tool life, and ensure repeatable quality.

Requirements

Proven track record in CNC programming within a high-precision environment (Medical, Aerospace, or Defense preferred).

Advanced experience with CAM programming software. Ability to manipulate CAD models for manufacturing. (Esprit preferred but not required)

Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings.

Experience with multi-axis lathes or mill-turn centers. Specific experience with Nakamura-Tome or Fanuc-based controls is a significant plus.

Ability and willingness to set up and prove out programs at the machine.

Familiarity with machining medical-grade materials such as Titanium and Stainless Steel (316/17-4)
