Westaff is Hiring for Packing Operators in South Windsor, CT!

Shift: Rotating days.

Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Night Shift: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour

Packing Operator Summary:

Packaging Operators are responsible for running, monitoring, and maintaining packaging machinery that boxes, bags, or wraps products for shipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, accuracy, efficiency, and safety while bridging production and shipping operations.

Candidates must be open to working 12-hour rotating shifts on either days or nights.

Packing Operator Responsibility:

Set up, operate, monitor, and shut down packaging equipment

Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot basic issues to maintain efficiency

Inspect products and packaging for defects

Ensure packaging meets quality, safety, and accuracy standards

Load packaging materials and supplies

Stack packaged items onto pallets for shipment

Perform routine cleaning and basic machine upkeep

Complete production logs, paperwork, and reports accurately

Packing Operator Qualifications:

Previous experience in machine operations

Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery

Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Strong attention to detail

Good time management and teamwork skills

Problem-solving ability and strong work ethic

Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
