Voith Paper is hiring for: Intern, Application Engineering Appleton, WI About the Role: Join our Application Engineering team for a hands-on internship supporting real-world projects in paper machine rebuilds, proposal development, and customer-specific engineering solutions.
This role offers exposure to Voith's project lifecycle from quoting and design to execution and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities: * Assist engineers in preparing technical proposals and documentation for rebuild and upgrade projects, such as tail threading systems and press section replacements * Support the development of budgetary proposals and scope breakdowns for customer RFQs, including coordination with sales, project management, and engineering * Participate in project kickoff meetings and help track deliverables, schedules, and performance guarantees * Contribute to the preparation of installation manuals, risk assessments, and training documents * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer site visits, equipment evaluations, and technical clarifications Preferred Qualifications: * Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, a related technical field.
* Strong interest in industrial applications or capital equipment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD tools or ERP systems is a plus.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
