Project Engineer
Location: Concord, CA (servicing various sites across the Greater Bay Area)

Must Haves
Proven experience supporting start-to-finish construction projects in the institutional education sector
Working knowledge of Procore or similar construction project management software
Strong administrative, organizational, and document control skills
Ability to process subcontractor and owner commitment documents within strict timelines
Ability to prepare, track, and manage RFIs and submittals independently or with direction
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work from a central office and travel to various local project sites as needed
Understanding of bidding workflows, including preparing bid invitations, plan distribution, and bid recaps
Ability to meet tight deadlines for construction documentation, including submittals and change orders
Experience working in coordination with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Accounting teamsNice to Haves
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Prior experience with DSA (Division of the State Architect) projects
Familiarity with prevailing wage documentation and compliance
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative and documentation support to assigned Project Managers
Process subcontractor agreements, POs, work orders, and change orders in Procore within 48 hours
Process owner contracts, change order proposals, and final change orders as required
Receive and log executed subcontract documents and upload to Procore within 24 hours
Prepare and track RFIs and submittals in accordance with project schedules and deadlines
Draft and issue professional correspondence as needed or directed
Support bidding processes including document preparation, outreach, and tracking
Maintain organized and up-to-date project files throughout the project lifecycle
Provide field teams with current subcontractor and project information
Prepare project closeout documents and notice of completion within 30 days of project wrap-up
Label and organize field/office files and prepare for archiving
Coordinate and schedule project start-up and close-out meetings
Generate cost reports and assist with monthly financial reporting
Attend weekly project meetings and document outcomes as needed
Collaborate with the Accounting team on billing cycles and resolve related issues
