Admissions Director – Healthcare Facility

We are looking for an experienced Admissions Director to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in admissions, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of insurance processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to lead admissions operations in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the admissions process from inquiry through intake

Coordinate with referral sources, residents, and families to ensure a smooth transition process

Verify insurance benefits and authorization requirements, ensuring accurate and timely documentation

Maintain positive relationships with hospitals, physicians, and community partners

Identify and resolve admission barriers to improve census development

Monitor admissions data and prepare reports for leadership review

Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure residents’ needs are met during admission

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Prior healthcare admissions experience required (Skilled Nursing Facility preferred)

Strong knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
