Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Define and maintain control plans, inspection plans, and quality documentation.

Support new part introduction, prototypes, and process development.

Lead root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (RCCA/CAPA), and FAI reviews.

Analyze inspection and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with Quality Inspectors to ensure inspection methods meet design intent.

Maintain configuration control and document accuracy.

Drive systemic improvements across manufacturing and quality processes.

Serve as primary interface with customer quality teams; support audits and reviews.

Mentor and train inspectors and junior engineers.

For senior level: define quality strategy for complex components, influence design decisions, and oversee supplier quality as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field.

Experience in manufacturing or aerospace-quality environment.

Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and inspection methods.

Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent quality systems.

Background in manufacturing, inspection, or CMM programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with precision machining or complex manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of process capability analysis, statistical methods, and audits.

Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
