Founded in 1890, Glen-Gery Corporation is one of the nation's largest brick manufacturers and operates eight brick manufacturing facilities. Glen-Gery products are sold nationally through a network of over 500 distributors as well as in Canada. Since entering the USA in 2018, Brickworks have acquired Sioux City Brick, Redland Brick and the distribution business of Southfield Corporation in Illinois and Indiana (Illinois Brick, Indiana Brick). The combined North American business now has more than 900 employees, operates across 40 locations, including 8 brick plants, 26 masonry supply/retail locations and 3 design studios.

Summary:

The Architectural Sales Representative will act as an ambassador for Brickworks and the Glen Gery Masonry Baltimore, MD. They will be asked to maintain good relationships with the existing customer base, as well as targeting new business opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing sales revenue and profits by developing rapport and selling all our lines of masonry and ancillary products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

Establish accounts within the home builder community by developing long lasting business relationships with designers, architects, builders, general contractors and masons

Drive sales through strategic product placement

Consistently achieve sales account prospecting and development

Educate and inform on all Glen Gery masonry and cladding product offerings

New Product Awareness/Launches

Hands on Demonstrations when Needed

Help in Estimating if Needed

Job site visits and consulting

Write sales opportunities, quotes and orders

Coordinate with purchasing, customer service, dispatch, yard staff and other Glen Gery employees throughout the sales process

Effectively communicate with manufacturer reps and plants on products and orders

Work hard to meet personal and team sales goals, quotas and deliverables

Attend meetings, sales events and training sessions - Some evening and overnight travel to be required occasionally

Develop sales forecast on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Report and provide feedback to management team

Understand, learn, and potentially develop new trends within the industry

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Effective tactical planning and problem-solving skills

Proven success in sales

Should have good PC skills, email, Microsoft Office, and Windows

Prospecting, negotiating and closing sales

Education/Experience:

2+ years in Sales

Masonry product knowledge preferred but not required

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Bachelor's Degree

Computer Skills:

Proficiency with word processing, email, Excel, CRM and J.D Edwards
