Overview of Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHT) Role:
Licensed Mental Health Therapists (LMHTs) provide mental health counseling services and can either start or grow a private practice. The ability to accept insurance payments enhances the affordability and accessibility of services. Other duties include maintaining compliance with regulations, managing records, and furthering professional development.
LMHT Pay: $120–$131 per hour.

Qualifications:
Master's level or higher with LMHT licensure (LMHC, LPCMH, LIMHP, LMFT, LMFTS, LCMFT, LPC, LPCC, LCPC, LCPCS, LPCC-S, LCSW, LICSW, LCSCW).
Active malpractice insurance and NPI number.
Prepared to begin or expand a private practice that accepts insurance.
