Purpose of Role

This position is responsible for developing and testing new applications for the Application Development team and maintaining (enhancing and repairing) existing POS and other applications. This position also provides significant input into the technical design of those applications.

Specific Job Description (to be provided by hiring manager)

Perform analysis, design, and development of applications and services.

Develop and maintain application documentation.

Research and evaluate new technologies that provide a competitive advantage for the business.

Work with IT teams to create and maintain standards and best practices.

Utilize source code control systems to maintain all code and ensure security.

Provide technical leadership to other IT resources and teams.

Assist in the development of Proof of Concepts.

Stay current in professional field with tools and technologies used to develop systems.

Span of Control

Work is performed without appreciable direction.

Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches to assignments.

Typical Minimum Education & Experience; Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

Bachelors degree or equivalent plus 10+ years related experience.

Bachelors degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.

Experience in all stages of the system development life cycle.

Minimum 8 years of experience in .NET development, preferably in C#.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Web Service Design (SOAP, REST, WCF).

Experience with .NET Framework, 3.5 or higher.

Experience with various database technologies including SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.

Experience in unit testing frameworks, preferably NUnit or JUnit.

Experience in version control software (Git, TFS, etc.).
