Position Summary:

The Encapsulation Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation, assembly/disassembly, and cleaning of encapsulation machines in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). This role plays a key part in ensuring the production of safe, high-quality products while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, changeover, and clean encapsulation equipment.

Adhere to SOPs, cGMP requirements, and safety protocols to ensure product quality and workplace safety.

Monitor production processes for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with batch records.

Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment adjustments as required.

Accurately document production activities, equipment logs, and batch records.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.

Operate multiple machines simultaneously and cross-train on other manufacturing equipment as needed.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the manufacturing area.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or manufacturing operations preferred.

Understanding of cGMP regulations and production safety practices.

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and operate various machines.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand/walk for the majority of the shift.

Perform repetitive tasks requiring sustained focus on the manufacturing process.

Push/pull containers weighing up to 500 lbs. and lift containers up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Manage multiple priorities in an environment with distractions and interruptions.

Work Environment:

Constant exposure to high noise levels—hearing protection required.

Work in warm temperature conditions with exposure to fumes, vibration, and oily/wet surfaces.

Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection, hair nets, uniforms, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.

Safety:

This role must be performed in compliance with SOPs, cGMP standards, and company safety policies to ensure the health and safety of the operator and others.
